A clear 30+ feet, 15-20 feet in the shallows
Salt creek too wavy on Friday afternoon. Bachelor rock exceeded expectations. At least 5 GPOs live out there, saw two in the open. A small wolf eel. Thousands of silver juvenile herring(?) in the kelp, some ledges with nice inverts, some large brown fuzzy hermit crabs, sun stars, small kelp forest.

20+ feet, 5-10 feet in the shallows
Poor vis inside the bay. Outside where current hits, vis quite good near high tide slack before ebb. 25ft, if it had been sunny, maybe 30ft vis. Significant surge at depth. Many octo dens, only saw 3 occupied. huge fish eating anemones. Lots of large hairy brown hermit crabs I don’t see at many other locations. Big orange peel nudis. Some of the hermit crabs here hide in yellow/orange sponge instead of snail shells. Thousands of juvenile tomcods. Larval flatfish. Small 2inch clear squid (not a market squid) in midwater.
