Welcome to pnwdiving

Pnwdiving is a planning tool to help divers answer the questions of "what's the visibility like?" and "where is it safe to dive today?"

Check out the homepage and dive site listings for recent dive reports.

We've tried to make it as easy as possible to leave a viz report for your fellow divers: select "Add Post" from the homescreen or from a dive site, then fill out a simple form.

Guidance on providing visibility reports

We ask that you provide "practical" horizontal visibility—how far away you can actually see detail. There are buttons for common visibility ranges on the "add post" screen.

Feel free to file visibility reports you read or hear from others!

Looking to file or get a report for a site not listed? You can type in a custom name when adding a vis report, and it will be added.

Thanks for your reports!

We also have a slack finder and depth chart interface designed to be faster and more intuitive than the NOAA website for coordinating dive timing well before you head out. It's also easy to lookup the weather forecast for a site, find nearby diver-recommended eateries, and check ferry route options via integration with Ferry Wizard.

Pnwdiving is intended for all divers, not any particular subgroup or club. Newer divers are especially encouraged to participate.

Tell your friends about PNW Diving—the more divers who use it and contribute data, the more valuable it is for everyone!
