Visibility
A hazy 15 feet (incoming tide)

Nice visibility. TONS of baby tubesnouts around the base of the pier. Water temp in the low 50s. Sooo much algae on the bottom, it cane make finding the line a bit challenging at times.

Dive report for 8/30/25

Profile Pic
Visibility
A chunky 10-15 feet (incoming tide)

Water temps were the current average- low-mid 50s. No noticeable thermocline... but then, the dive site had us down to 30' or so as max depth at the wreck. As this was a course completion dive, it was quite fun to have a dogfish come hang out for a minute at the end of the dive... almost like it was telling my student: Congrats on a job well done! There is a TON of fishing gear and line out left on the bottom. WE hope to get out and clean some of it up soon if possible- will depend on the amount of crab traps and such out there.

Visibility
A hazy 20 feet, 10-15 feet in the shallows (incoming tide)

Cool wrecks. Painted greenling and a huge kelp greenling. Back deep in the hole was the largest Puget sound king crab I've ever seen. I mean massive body. Tons of perch to.

Cool! I haven't heard of a pskc that south before!

Yea, not 100% but the spines and shell were not that of a red or dungie. I'd put money on it being a pskc.

Heart crab maybe?

If it was it would be a record breaker. Carapace was like almost 2 feet. Spiny, short arms not like tanner and way to shallow. Wish I had a camera.
