Odlin County Park is a relaxing dive site in a protected bay on Lopez Island. Enter the water near the fishing pier and swim northward along the rocky shoreline bordering the cove. There are boulders and crevices along the shore to look in where your typical northwest creatures will be hiding. It's worth exploring under the pier when no fishermen are present. It drops down to 35' deep and often schools of small fish will be present.

There is also a rocky shore on the south side of the bay. The bay itself is sand to about 35' and then mud to 65' and then deepens beyond there.

Conditions: Beware of fishing line near the pier; some current especially as you near the outside of the bay. Flood currents and small ebb currents move northward to the right. Inconsistent current patterns during larger ebb exchanges.

Marine life: Commonly seen: wolf eel, giant pacific octopus, and rockfish.
