A hazy 15 feet, 5-10 feet in the shallows (high tide)

So here we are. We lugged all our gear, made camp and then I realized ... Crap we forgot the paddle board and I'm gonna have to swim from the buoy after tying up the boat. Then my daughter says... Or we could just dive back! The goal was just to go to shore in perhaps the most unusual way but whoaa what a treat! The bottom is mostly small rocks and sand but there is considerable kelp and grass. We followed the line down took heading and had a blast. First was a school of tubesnouts that was in the thousands. 2 harbor seals were playing in the school but it did not appear they were feeding. As we started to slowly ascend into the grass we saw lumpies!!! I have only ever seen one or two on a dive so this was a trip. Every 5 feet there was one. None were really big but I stopped count at 10. As we walked up the beach people were of course asking ... Where did you come from, what did you see? My daughter is yelling lumpies, fields of lumpies they are so cute.
