Broughton Archipelago search

We had a couple nice dives at Broughton Archipelago with Sun Fun Divers (heading out of Port McNeil) on 9/22. The sites were Broughton Lagoon and NE Pearse. I love this area! Broughton Lagoon Passage is a neat site, which reminded me a lot about deception pass with all the tube worms and painted anemones. But it was significantly different than any site that I've done. The pass was so narrow, and the vis was so good you could see both sides of the pass as you dove it. Gunnels were hiding up in the tube worms, and heart crabs and clouds of black rockfish were found in the shallows. I can't say enough about Pearse. Such a colorful wall, unlike any other I've done. Lots of candy stripe shrimp, red soft corral, crimson and painted anemones, basket stars, pomegranate nudies and raspberry soft corrals and more. This was my 3rd dive here and can't wait to go back again! We had some great pacific whitesided dolphin viewings on our surface interval. Steve's a great captain!
