Phenomenal exploration among the various kelp. There's tons of amazing rocks to swim around and canyons to swim through with a bunch of big rockfish hiding there.
The most prominent canopy is from Giant Kelp (stunning cathedral light views!) but there's endless woody keep all 6 feet tall creating a second under-canopy. Getting below that gives you a forest view with various inverts to be found. Saw two Sunflower Sea Stars!
Note: Curly's Resort in Sekiu has a compressor but they're not a hasty service. If you're staying the night then plan to drop off tanks in the afternoon then pick them up later the next morning
ReefCheck surveys at Clallam Bay West - this site is accessed from a park just west of the town of Clallam Bay. Site is mainly large boulders (some very large) amidst an otherwise sandy substrate, and our max depth was 21 feet ~250 yards offshore. Wind waves overnight had kept the shallows stirred, and this was our second dive of the day after camping/diving at Salt Creek in the AM, and so early afternoon wind against an outgoing tide severely deteriorated visibility for this dive. (The day prior our divers who did their second dive here starting this site reported 10-15 ft visibility). While this site is less deserving of attention for recreational diving than the main one at the point, the abundant sand/rock interface had quite a few nudibranchs and could be an interesting macro photography dive.
