Dive report for 6/27/25

Profile Pic
Visibility
A grimy 5-10 feet, 10-15 feet in the shallows

Revisited the Pond #2 after month long absence, I find the pond again a different place, once again. Many more Sticklebacks swimming around, but I still have hard time to get a good picture. Still hundreds of White Bubble Shell slugs and their eggs. This time I saw few Sitka shrimps and dozens of tiny Cladonema jellies. Only few Waterjellies. The Japanese fireweed is gone completely. Very murky in the deep parts, nice in the shallows. But no sun, so it was little bit gloomy today.

Dive report for 11/11/25

Profile Pic
Visibility
15-20 feet

After few months, I checked the pond #2, still so different from its neighbor. Zillions of baby White Bubble Shell slugs, unlike in Pond 1, only few eggs, (of course, these are still babies here). But why would two pond so close together have so different timing for the very same species ? Much more of small new yellow sponges, only one juvenile Stickleback with diseased eyes. No jellies noticed. Japan mussels clustered by thousands.
