pnwdivingVisibility: A silty 15 feet (incoming tide)
Started with a lumpy, so knew it’d be great. Had a bit of sandy bottom with some stuff on it as we swam over to the rocky structure and found the wreck. I’d be curious if there is any info if this is an artificial reef wreck or one that sank after striking the shallow rock structure right next to it. At moderate tides, the top of the rock was at 3’ deep with no navigational markers! Very light current throughout the dive. Handful of nudibranchs, tons of smaller, decorator crabs. Lots of dock and spot shrimp. A beautiful, big cabezon and a few massive lingcods along with some rockfish, blackeyed gobies, stilleto shrimps, three lined shrimp, and some of the biggest red urchins I’ve seen! Overall, a very enjoyable dive!Found a 33# anchor to pull out at the end of the dive on the shallow spot stuck under a ledge on the rock. Took some wiggling to get the sucker free…Nearest mooring is about 100 yards into the cove. Boat only access. Remote diving. Limited cell service with Verizon.
