8 lumpsuckers in front of the boat ramp in 10-20feet of water. Had one opalescent squid as well.
Not really any structure to see and it's all shallow flats. There was a constant slight current through supposed slack tide. Definitely picked up towards the end of the dive. Need to time correctly as current flows through rich passage pretty quickly.
Nice scooter dive with 10 divers, 8 checking out Ft. Ward for the first time. Rocky structure is off the left of the boat ramp in the shallows (8-20’ or so). This is where we found a few lumpsuckers in the sugar kelp leaves and sea lettuce. It was decent visibility and current plan was reasonable. Current slacked off significantly in the shallows, but was noticeable past 2’ of depth.
