Found a salp about a meter long! Had never seen anything like it, and was shocked to see it contracting along its length. Very otherworldly.
Saw the most sunflower stars here that Iβve ever seen. Also struck by the beauty of all the china rockfish.

- A jellyfishy 15 feet
So many jellies in the bay! Mostly water jellies and moon jellies but also lion's manes and egg yolk jellies. There was a particularly huge bright orange egg yolk jelly!
There were hoodie nudies as well, but mostly on the kelp at the bottom rather than on top of the bull kelp.
A few schools of small salmon or similar looking fish.
