Visibility: A chunky 20+ feet (outgoing tide)

Visibility is still above average, but with the cloudy sky and the chunky algae snot hanging in the water column, it is decreasing from where it was last week. We had 2 species of aglaja sea slugs today as well as a few tritonia festivia, Hermissenda opalescence, and horned dorids. The water column gave us our small jellies: red sausage jelly, cross jelly, and aggregating jelly. The bottom gave us our crabs: dungenes and hermit crabs and our stars: mottled

nothing much to report for creatures today. The focus was more on getting comfortable in new equipment than creature sightings. Water temp 48-49F. No distinct thermocline
