pnwdivingVisibility: A silty 20 feet, 15 feet in the shallows
Not a publicly-accessible from shore dive site but I wanted to contribute the additional dive report following my 5/1 dive at Rosario - despite the increased current exposure compared to Rosario Beach (and the to-be-expected suspended sediments), the AM slack was still a nice, mostly clear 20ft visibility despite the wind having increased overnight from the NW. If you did want to hit this by boat, there are a scattering of boulders throughout the area that have quite a bit of invertebrate diversity and would be a pretty fun macro dive. Lots of great life on the end of the SPMC seawater intake pipes as well, and an impressive amount of juvenile bull kelp popping up in shallower! Potentially a useful back-pocket site to fall back on if one gets blown off of better dive sites around the south and eastern areas of the SJIs - and would be a really interesting drift on an ebb (headed away from, not toward the ferry landing) if done with boat support. Fly the flags, quite a bit of boat traffic (recreational and commercial) cutting that corner.
