A decent eddy going into a 12 ft flood. Vis mostly stayed in the 12 ft range, silting up as mid-flood approached. 52 - 54 F.
Crabs - Dungeness, red rock, helmet - were fond of assuming a commanding presence on top of the pipeline, flanked by sturdy sentinels of plumose anemones. Gunnels were active. A nice little Copper Rockfish sheltering under the pipe. Alas, too big now to count as a YOY.
Minimal current as the 17-ft exchange approached low slack. Vis stayed a consistent 10 ft. 50F.
Many young graceful crabs burrowing themselves in as we came back through the shallows. Two Crescent Gunnels, one ending our session by pulling itself along the sandy bottom by its pectoral fins, then darting under me to the next clump of Ulva. Chunky Pacific Staghorn Sculpin, tiny Buffalo Sculpin.
