Visibility
15-20 feet, 10 feet in the shallows

Quite hazy in the cove. East of the cove into the canal it cleared nicely below 60. Triton Head had some interesting sponges and rocks about 50ft deep. Deeper cobble bottom had few red octos, slim sculpins, and 4 crimson anemones before turning into sea whip field with mix of young and old whips.

Dive report for 7/21/26

Profile Pic
Visibility
A hazy 15 feet, 5-10 feet in the shallows (high tide)

The first dive was during high slack on a set of low exchanges. Visibility reached 15 ft below 30 ft but dropped on the second dive at mid-exchange. A white haze permeated the shallows. It definitely brightened the photos.

Fish were particularly active. Gobies hovered rather than lurked. A C-O Sole happily followed a diver's fins. A juvenile GPO slithered from one poor hiding place to the next. Two sunflower stars on each dive, the largest about dessert-plate size.
