Watmough Bay search

ReefCheck surveys with the Samish Tribe DNR at Watmaugh Bay (SE Lopez). INCREDIBLE to finally have my first dive at the San Juans, and a neat kelp forest - however the sandy bay to the northwest is likely the silt source as current is moving. We commented that despite the silt the actual water clarity was pretty clear (not hazy or milky), but despite having my camera back up on the survey boat and some time I could have shot, it wasn’t worth wide angle. Great dive though and good to check in on the water clarity up in the northern inland waters before south sound surveys this weekend!
