- A clear 20+ feet
Really wonderful vis at alki pipeline. So much color everywhere, and such a different dive than junkyard or cove 2. Saw a skeleton shrimp party of unreal proportions, some sculpins I need to look up, a tiiiiiny sapsucker (Vancouver?) and baby white-lined dironas on kelp. Never made it to the pipe mouth, too entranced by the macro on the algae and rocks.
Dive report for 7/10/26
- Visibility
- 20+ feet, 10-15 feet in the shallows
Really nice vis. Pipeline to the point and back at night. Several Alaskan Pollock larger than I usually see (not adults, but not tiny juveniles). Sporadic white sea pens near the point and 3 pink tritonias. Couple neon sea fleas in drab brown color. Northern anchovies (I think) mixed with the shiner perch over eelgrass. Several egg yolk jellies.
