lovely late afternoon dive on slack before flood. beautiful aqua water and golden kelp with generous schools of white perch. i could have stayed in the shallows admiring this sight for a long time but off to the end of the jetty i went. tried to find warbonnets in the acorn barnacles on the upper reaches of the jetty but the white anemones have overgrown the structure. good visibility and very little current. slack predicted at 5:12 pm. i got in around 3:45 pm and had a current free dive.
