Visibility
A chunky 5-10 feet, <5 feet in the shallows (incoming tide)

Attempted to go left to the 'point' from Norwegian Park. Timed for the start of a flood so that if things got bad it would push us back to where we started. Slack is apparently waaay earlier than predicted; currents already ripping an hour before predicted slack. But at the Hansville Point, about 100 yards east, everything stops in a kind of eddy where the currents split, one part going into Hood Canal and the other continuing down the straits. Very wacky. Kelp flying everywhere through the water. Otherwise not a lot to see, some structure, swales, and rocks. Wouldn't do this dive without a good scooter, and even with that we probably won't do it again. Too crazy-pants.

Visibility
A hazy 15-20 feet, 5-10 feet in the shallows (high tide)

Exploring a new area. Very exposed to the straits, dive cut short because of crazy currents. Rocky and kelpy bottom to the NW toward the store, becomes sandy to the SE toward Point No Point. Lots of big Strawberry Anemones, healthy eel grass, a few small sunflower stars.
