Exploration dive, west toward the bridge at 40-60ft. Cobble bottom, some large anemones, sea pens, small sea whips, sea stars, one young sunflower star.
Per one of the divers who's reported here:
Park at Salsbury Point County Park · Poulsbo, Washington
Park at the nearest boat ramp. Surface scoot to the piling from there.
Viz has never been great haha. I don’t know that I’d recommend it. There’s a debris field around the bridge, like any construction site. It’s a mix of dropped gear and tools and abandoned crab pots. That’s kind of interesting to explore through.
Other side of the bridge: haven’t dove it, though I’m told that the attraction on the far side is a rock pinnacle a ways to the south. Definitely best by boat, but lacking boat, it’s supposed to be better than a bridge piling. … maybe "better than a bridge piling" isn’t exactly glowing praise.
