Dive report for 7/3/26
- Visibility
- A clear 20+ feet, 15-20 feet in the shallows (incoming tide)
We jammed back to camp hoping to sneak in a noon dive but it was not a success. Surface conditions looked ok but once we got past the kelp gardens the surge picked up quite a bit and the viz started to decline. We thumbed it and rod a few surge waves through the kelp gardens. Tomorrow were gonna start here instead.
Dive report for 7/5/26
- Visibility
- A clear 30+ feet, 20+ feet in the shallows (high tide)
Early morning start to make our exit from north the camp ground and a quick wash dive at lake crescent possible.
Hit the farthest east stairs case or well, #3. Further east by the rv sites there is another one we will have to check out another time. Best dive, conditions and time of the weekend. Zero swell, waves or current just awesome. No wolfies this dive but we did score a visit by two large and quite curious CA sea lions that I am thinking are feeding on the summer Chinook run. Quick wash down at crescent and back to home we go.
