Visibility: A clear 40+ feet, 30+ feet in the shallows (incoming tide)

Well this morning we woke up and ran down the trail to check the waves.... Yahoo, yesterday we had 3 to 5 foot breaking waves on the rocks. Today it was more like a slow surge with 1 foot waves. My daughter was still hesitant after seeing the action from the day before so I cruised out on a first dive to sus it out before a break and a second dive with my buddy. Water clarity was amazing, best I have seen for all of 2025. 40+. We could easily see through the kelp beds and it was beautiful. The highlight was 2 small Wolfie's in a crack at around 40fsw between stairs 2 and 3. It seemed like they were playing with each other, nipping at tails and when we got close they quickly became shy. Just after our Wolfy dance we turned around because some motion caught my eye above us... Turned out to be a school of anchovies or smaller bait fish being bombarded by birds. We hovered on our backs and watched the birds feast. At one point a brid came with in a few feet of me at 45fsw... Deep lil divers. Awesome dives, amazing spot and now will be a must return for multi day missions!!!

It was my first time seeing juvie wolfeels here in the shallows. And I saw two of them! Also saw cockrels Dorids, warbonnets, a seal, and two birds diving for fish.
