Very cool sea whips deeper than 65ft. Pretty nice vis and water temp below 15ft was surprisingly comfortable. Some unique flatfish (a sand sole), grunt sculpin, many smallish sunflower sea stars. Not many fish, definitely a muck dive. The eelgrass shallows were pretty quiet for winter, only a few common nudibranchs and some fish eggs in the Japanese wireweed.
A silty 15-20 feet, 10-15 feet in the shallows (high tide)
surface fresh water layer down to 11' was around 46F. Dropped down to 70'' and the water temp was 50F. Seawhip field is looking good! lots of sunflower stars, moterey dorids, Tritonia festivias and Armina californicas out and about.
