A snowy 5 feet, 10 feet in the shallows (low tide)
Nothing like a super low tide at Edmonds to keep you honest about bouyancy. Shockingly okay visibility in the shallows followed by your average green silty mess below 20. Strong ebb was churning things up pretty well. Lots of little critters to look at and always a fun time.
On a blustery day, Edmonds was in a relatively calm zone. We descended next to the jetty and the viz was about 2 feet, but once we got past the jetty, it opened up a little. The summer kelp is in and it's rather difficult to find the lines - particularly with the lowish viz.
Lots of perch, some very colorful painted greenlings and a few big lings. There was a nice variety of nudibranchs out, but the highlight were all the opalescents. We found one rock on jetty way that was covered - about 20 of them of all sizes, including a couple that were in the 2 inch range. Very pretty.
We reached the boundary line of the park and I swam a couple of feet past it and put my computer on the bottom which gave me the 34 feet max lol!
On the swim back, the sun came out and even in the hazy viz, it created a nice brightness. There were some very pretty ochre stars on the jetty rocks, but you had to get up close to see them lol.
