Visibility
A hazy 20+ feet, 10-15 feet in the shallows

First time here. We spent 20 minutes looking for any structure. There’s a buoy that marks the start of the wall, I’d beeline for it next time. We saw a very large GPO in a crack and a medium GPO doing its best to be kelp out in the open. A couple juvenile wolf eels. Several berthella. A grunt sculpin. And plenty of smiling squat lobsters. Ooh and 2 good sized sunflower sea stars

Dive report for 7/3/26

Visibility
A hazy 20+ feet, 15 feet in the shallows (outgoing tide)

Cooler weather has sharply improved visibility and light penetration here. The first dive, on the outgoing tide, was clear at depth with only a light haze in the shallows. By the low slack of the second dive, the haze had settled down the wall.

South of the start of the wall, the rocky rubble slope was carpeted with sea lettuce (Ulva), more abundant than in the shallows above. The underwater world seemed turned upside down, but spot prawns took advantage of the Ulva for cover after shedding their molts.

Slender Cockscombs seem to be having a year. One threaded through the oysters in 6 ft of water. Another peered from the gape of a geoduck's shell at 40 ft. A dessert-plate sunflower star on each dive.
