Neah Bay Scuba Diving Guide

Neah Bay is exposed to Pacific swell, fog, and fast-changing weather. Life on the rock reefs was once extraordinarily dense; abundance has fluctuated in recent years, we would appreciate any recent reports you have! Use site briefings, regional photos, and tide/weather info here before heading out.

Dive clubs are a great way to get to know the area. Many dive shops offer group outings or charter trips (see our shop listings). There are also various diving meetups you can join. Some focus on specialties like underwater photography or tech diving; others on site maintenance and conservation. Additional region overview

Duncan Rock is a demanding boat dive with extreme surge and current; charters used to run here occasionally in the summer. Fog can set in quickly on the Strait—carry beacons and marine radios.
Shore access is limited; the Neah Bay marina is the primary base for boat access and Pacific-facing dives.
