Campbell River Scuba Diving Guide

Interested in Campbell River diving? Discovery Passage is one of our favorite places to scuba dive! The area is famous for strawberry anemones, sponges, nudibranchs and color! There's significantly more current here than at areas like Puget Sound. Most diving is boat diving. Choose an operator that knows the waters well. If you're from out of town, come up on a good tide day in order to enjoy the best sites! Be sure to visit The Spice Hut when in town!

Dive Clubs

Dive clubs are a great way to get to know the area. Many dive shops offer group outings or charter trips (see our shop listings). There are also various diving meetups you can join. Some focus on specialties like underwater photography or tech diving; others on site maintenance and conservation. If you're new to local diving, many club members are happy to meet up for a casual shore dive or help you get oriented at a site—just reach out and ask.
